Volvo CarPlay

Volvo er en av bilprodusentene Apple jobber med på CarPlay og våre svenske venner har vært smarte og laget den første presentasjonsvideoen av CarPlay i bruk i en av selskapets kommende biler - SUVen XC90 som lanseres i 2014.

Volvo skriver i en pressemelding at CarPlay vil være tilgjengelig i XC90 som lanseres senere i 2014 og at CarPlay i første omgang krever en kablet tilgang til telefonen. I løpet av kort tid skal dog Wifi støttes.

De andre bilprodusentene som Apple har et samarbeid med, har foreløpig ikke kommet med mer informasjon om deres bruk av CarPlay.

Dette er vel valgfritt, men man må jo undres om ikke det er mulig å integrere andre systemer på samme modul? Er f.eks dette bare en touchskjerm som får bilde fra iPhonen?
Så er jo spørsmålet... Hva syns konkurransemyndighetene om slike låste løsninger?

Låst løsning? Er jo bare en opsjon for dem som tilfeldigvis skulle være i besittelse av et Apple produkt eller tre. Og hvorfor skulle Apple være interessert i å integrere f.eks Andriod i samme modul?

Kan vanskelig tenke meg at de lager støtte for Apple produkter samtidig.
Ser ikke problemet.

Edit: Men jeg hadde ikke stolt på Apple Maps :-P
