Ukens forside til «The New Yorker» er tegnet med iPhone

Jorge Colombo har tegnet denne ukens forside til avisen «The New Yorker» ved å bruke sin iPhone og programmet Brushes, mens han stod én time utenfor Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum i Times Square. Se video av prosessen.

Jeg fikk en telefon i begynnelsen av februar, og umiddelbart fikk jeg programmet slik at jeg kunne underholde meg selv. Før, hvis ikke jeg hadde en lommelykt eller en gruvehjelm med lykt, kunne jeg ikke tegne i mørket. Men det er vanskeligere å tegne når solen er oppe på grunn av refleksjon fra skjermen.

Colombo fikk sine første tegninger publisert i The New Yorker i 1994. Han har tegnet siden han var sju, men oppdaget nylig fordelen med bruken av digitale tegneverktøy. Det lar ham også få tegne i fred uten å bli forstyrret, da de fleste fotgjengerne antar at han bare sjekker e-posten sin.
