Gjør iPhone om til en Macintosh Plus

Macintosh PlusHvis du ikke allerede har latt deg overtale til å jailbreake iPhonen din, kan kanskje nostalgikerfølelsen overtale deg ved synet av en ny emulator av klassiske Macintosh Plus.

Den lar deg til og med leke med gode, gamle MacPaint!

Et nytt åpent kildeprosjekt har kommet fram til en fungerende Macintosh Plus-emulator til iPhone og iPod touch.

Ettersom Apple forståelig nok ikke tillater emulatorer i App Store vil dette programmet aldri bli noe offisielt program på plattformen, men den iPhone eller iPod touch som er jailbreaket har muligheten til å leke med morsomheten.

Legg til oppbevaringsstedet namedfork.net til Cydia (i More Sources) og den vil vises i Emulation-seksjonen.

Emulatoren er en variant av Mini vMac som kan kjøres i OS X, Windows, Linux og Unix. Den emulerer en Plus med 4 megabyte RAM og fungerende lyd, skriver MacWorld.se.

Macintosh Plus

For å kjøre den behøver du både en ROM-fil frå en Plus og diskfiler med de programmene du vil kjøre. MacPaint, Sim City og Shufflepuck Café er bare noen av klassikerne som du kan kose deg med. I tillegg vil kanskje de spesielt interesserte oppdage Hypercard.
