Utviklere får dele ut promoteringskoder til programmene på App Store

Utviklere av programmer til App Store i USA har nå muligheten til å dele ut gratis promoteringsversjoner av iPhone-programmene sine. Dette åpner for muligheten til å benytte seg av promokoder framfor gavekort ved markedsføring av programmet sitt.

Etter at et program er akseptert til App Store av Apple, kan utviklerene tilby opptil 50 promoteringskoder. Disse kodene lar mottakeren laste ned en fullversjon av programmet helt gratis.

Redeem iTunes

Med det første ser det ut som at dette kun fungerer i den amerikanske iTunes Store ved å bruke en «Redeem»-knapp i App Store.

Promoteringskodene kan deles ut for eksisterende programmer, og det vil være mulig å dele ut 50 nye koder for hver nye versjon av programmet.
