Apple nærmer seg europeisk iPhone-lansering

I følge nettstedet 9to5Mac.com nærmer Apple seg en pan-europeisk lansering av iPhone i en rekke land i Europa. Flere europeiske teleselskaper er nå klare til å presentere iPhone i sitt hjemland. I følge ryktene lanseres iPhone i Sveits 4. april (Swisscom), så følger Belgia (Mobistar), Nederland (KPN), Østerrike (T-Mobile) og Irland (O2). Italia (Telecom Italia) og Spania (Telefonica) er også rett rundt hjørnet. Kanskje mest spennende er det at 9to5Mac også mener at Apple snart er klare til å lansere telefonen i Skandinavia.

Nettstedet 9to5Mac har den senere tid vist seg å ha hatt tilgang til svært korrekt informasjon omkring Apples planer. Nettstedet avslørte i fjor de nye iPod nanoene med bilder og detaljerte beskrivelser måneder før de ble lansert. Nettstedet var også sentral i avsløringen av Apples iPod touch og har nå fått et ganske solidt rykte i Apple-kretser.

Apple nærmer seg en lansering av iPhone i Norge

9to5Mac hevder nå at mobiloperatøren Swisscom i Sveits er det første selskapet av en rekke selskaper som får presentere iPhone ekslusivt i sitt respektive hjemland. I de nordiske landen nevnesTeliaSonera som en aktuell partner, i Norge eies Chess og Netcom av den svensk-finske telegiganten. Samtidig har Telenor tidligere bekreftet samtaler med Apple. Hvem som trekker det lengste strået blir spennende, men det later til at vi kan forvente oss en norsk iPhone før eller senere.

Ikke nødvendigvis bundet til en operatør

I en finansiell presentasjon av Apples ledende personer Tim Cook kom det fram at Apple ikke er bundet til å lansere iPhonen ekslusivt på de resterende markedene. Apple er ikke avhengig av enerettsavtaler for å få lansert iPhonen i alle de markedene vi ønsker å lansere telefonen uttalte Tim Cook.

Denne uttalelsen er spesielt interessant i land som Norge hvor markedet for iPhone er lite. Apple kan med andre ord velge å lansere en åpen og ikke låst telefon for dette markedet.

Problemet er vel at konkuransetilsynet ikke vil godta at iPhone låses til en operatør. Nå ser det ut til at det kan komme en løsning på det.

Det hadde vert kjempeflott om iPhone kommer fra flere mobiloperatører for da blir det en stor kamp om å tilby iPhone billigst :)

Nå gjelder det bare at Apple kommer med copy og paste, så kan jeg handle :)
