hPod slippes på fredag

Hewlett Packards versjon av Apples iPod skal lanseres på fredag samtidig. Apple og HP inngikk i januar et samarbeid om en felles satsning på musikk. Apple skal produsere en spesiell blå HP utgave av iPoden som HP skal selge gjennom sine salgskanaler - samtidig skal HP inkludere iTunes på alle nye PCer som de selger. Denne avtalen som ble inngått i januar har blitt sett på som et meget strategisk valg av Apple. Ved å samarbeide med HP som er en av verdens største PC produsenter får de et meget spesielt grep på PC markedet som de ellers ikke har hatt.

Nå ser det altså ut til at HP skal lansere sin iPod på fredag sammen med en rekke andre forbrukerprodukter som TVer, kameraer og printere. iPoden som HP skal lansere vil være lik de nye Apple iPodene bare den vil ha HP logo inngravert på baksiden og være i "HP blå". Ellers vil den være identisk Apples iPod.

Om HP vil kalle den iPod eller noe annet vites heller ikke. Rykter har både pekt på navnte hPod og HiPod. På fredag lanseres den i USA og vi gleder oss til å se hva HP og Apple får til i samarbeid.
